Vince Kerr, Fujitsu
Vince joined Fujitsu in July 2001 as a Business Consultant and soon thereafter became a Practice Manager in the Strategic Consulting Group. He worked in this role for about 2 years until he joined Marketing in 2004 as the Head of Strategy and Market Intelligence. In April 2006 he moved to become Director of Marketing for the Government Business Unit. In April 2009 he moved to his current role as Marketing Director on the board of Fujitsu, UK and Ireland.
Before joining Fujitsu, Vince worked for 11 years at British Airways. Whilst at the airline, Vince undertook a number of different roles in the IT, Marketing and Commercial departments. These included short periods in the USA on a variety of projects. He also spent 3 years managing in-flight entertainment and satellite communications. Eventually he became the Director of Business Development for a joint venture subsidiary where he led concept and brand development as well as sales.
While at British Airways Vince obtained an MBA from Lancaster Management School, with a focus on International Business Strategy as well as technology exploitation. Prior to starting work he gained a BSc from Kent University.
Vince is married to Debs and they live in Crowthorne, Berkshire with two teenage sons. He is an active rugby player and also the chairman of his local club, which is one of the largest community clubs in the South of England. He is also a keen wakeboarder – half cabs but no inverts! - tennis player and golfer.
As well as this, Vince also led our participation in the televised Polar Challenge expedition where a group of adventurers wrestled with permanent snow to reach the Magnetic North Pole on foot, ably supported by Fujitsu as their technology partner, winning a MCA Silver Award for most innovative use of technology in the process.
