Christopher MacLeod, Customer Director and revenue at Transport for London

Chris has a broad range of management responsibilities at the world’s largest integrated transport authority. His Customer brief encompasses strategy and Insight, Marketing and behaviour change, customer information and design and partnerships.

With his ‘revenue’ hat on he manages TfL’s commercial media assets, which includes the world’s largest out of home advertising estate and brand licensing. He also oversees the programme to deliver revenue improvements on operating services like the Tube and Buses.

He has worked with colleagues across TfL to make it a more customer focused organisation, encompassed by its ‘Every Journey matters’ positioning.

In 2012 he oversaw the Marketing of transport in London to help deliver what was generally recognised as the most successful ever Olympic and Paralympic Games.

During his time it has won every major Marketing award including Marketing Society and IPA Effectiveness Golds and Campaign’s Advertiser of the Year.

An ‘Ad exec’’ by training, Chris has a degree from Newcastle Business School, a Master’s degree from the LSE and is a regular on the Bakerloo Underground line.
